3-27-2013:
Why doesn't Revenge and Appeasement work?

Appeasement doesn't work because doing nothing means you don't have awareness. Before World War II had started (after World War I) France and Britain gave Germany the Treaty of Versailles witch made Germany not allowed to have troops near France or build an army larger than 100,000 troops. Later Germany (Hitler) built a larger Army over 100,000 and had the troops closer to France, and after both of these events France and Britain did nothing. After this Germany then broke the rest of the Treaty and still France and Britain did nothing. On September 1st, 1939 Hitler starts World War II and attacks Poland. This is how Appeasement does not work.

Revenge doesn't work because nothing is gained. In World War I Germany and France/Britain went to war. France/Britain tried to defeat the Germans but they were very strong.  Germany then attacked France/Britain causing yet another attack on Germany. While this goes on Germany sends a message to Mexico promising land from the U.S. The U.S. did not like that so the U.S. was then joined on the France/Britain side to fight the Germans, Austria/Hungry, and the Ottoman Empire. The war lasted years of continuous fighting and the French, British and the Americans would win the war but during the time of continuous attacks nothing was being accomplished. Therefore Revenge doesn't work out very well.
